Ryanne Glasper, PT, DPT

Dr. Ryanne Glasper, PT graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Studies in 2002 and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Long Island University in 2008. Now practicing at Bethesda Physiocare, she brings more than twenty years of clinical experience in dance medicine, orthopedic rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and pelvic therapy in Bethesda, MD.

A New York City transplant, Ryanne began her career in the biomechanics lab at the Analysis of Dance and Movement Center, where she developed a strong foundation in movement analysis and complex injury patterns. She has since worked with over fifteen Broadway productions and numerous professional dance organizations, including the Radio City Rockettes, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Her background positions her as a leading dance medicine specialist for performers and individuals with hypermobility, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS).

Ryanne is a skilled manual therapist with advanced training in Functional Manual Therapy® through the Institute of Physical Art and in Pelvic Health through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She provides comprehensive pelvic therapy, supporting patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, postpartum recovery, and chronic pelvic pain. Her treatment approach integrates the Franklin Method, Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis, and the Feldenkrais Method to improve movement efficiency and reduce chronic musculoskeletal pain.

She is also a certified Hatha Yoga instructor. She is passionate about helping individuals with chronic pain conditions, hypermobility, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome build resilience, stability, and confidence in their bodies.

Most importantly, Ryanne is the proud mother of eight-year-old Isabel James and a dedicated advocate for social justice, maternal health, and equitable access to care.l
