Dr. Noelle Schlegel

Noelle Schlegel, PT, DPT, Cert-DN, CMTPT/DN, RYT

Dr. Noelle Schlegel brings over 30 years of Physical Therapy experience to Bethesda Physiocare, where she contributes her extensive clinical expertise to our team of specialized physical therapy providers. Throughout her career, Noelle has had the privilege of treating an exceptionally diverse patient population—including professional athletes, Ninja Warriors, collegiate Division I athletes, circus aerialists, Recon Marines, and individuals with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and hypermobility.

Dr. Schlegel has a strong interest in kinesthetic and movement-based rehabilitation, blending her Western medical training with holistic methods gained through her certifications as a Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Breathwork Instructor, and Certified Meditation Instructor. At Bethesda Physiocare, she especially enjoys working with sports injury rehabilitation, particularly with runners, as well as adult patients with chronic pain, hypermobility, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Noelle serves as a lead instructor for Myopain Seminars, a global leader in dry needling education, research, and innovation. She is credentialed in multiple styles of dry needling and is recognized as a distinguished dry needling practitioner by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Dr. Schlegel is also a contributing author in the medical textbook Trigger Point Dry Needling and has been a guest lecturer for the Maryland Physical Therapy Association. Most recently, she was recognized as an expert in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome by The International Consortium on Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders Steering Committee.

In addition to her work at Bethesda Physiocare, Dr. Schlegel maintains a private practice in Baltimore, Maryland, treating patients ranging from professional athletes and yogis to weekend warriors seeking expert, individualized care.
