Ethan McCoy, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS, CAFS, CMTPT/DN

Dr. Ethan McCoy is the Clinic Director at Bethesda Physiocare® in Bethesda, Maryland, where he leads a team providing innovative, evidence-based physical therapy for complex pain and movement disorders. He also serves as an Instructor with Myopain Seminars, training healthcare professionals nationwide in evidence-based approaches to myofascial pain and dry needling.  Combining the art of manual therapy with the science of human movement, he helps patients and athletes reach their full potential.

Dr. McCoy earned his DPT from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Emporia State University. He has worked with athletes at all levels—from youth and collegiate programs to professional teams like the San Antonio Regulators (IWFL), Kansas City Storm (WFL), San Jose Barracudas (NHL) and NFL players with the Kansas City Chiefs—focusing on performance, rehabilitation, and long-term health.

A GIFT Graduate of the Gray Institute for Applied Functional Science, Dr. McCoy holds specialized certifications in Functional Manual Reaction, Functional Soft Tissue Transformation, 3D Movement Analysis, Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapy / Dry Needling, Personalized Blood Flow Restriction Training, and more. His expertise spans sports and performance rehabilitation, myofascial pain management, hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, POTS, chronic pain management, and functional strength and movement optimization.

Ethan’s approach emphasizes precision, education, and partnership. He believes lasting change occurs when patients understand their movement patterns, take an active role in recovery, and cultivate strength and control that extend beyond pain relief. His goal is to help every patient recover from injury while improving overall performance, mobility, and confidence.
