Chronic Prostatitis Treatment at Bethesda Physiocare®
Many men are diagnosed with chronic prostatitis, though there is rarely any evidence of bacterial infection or the common markers for inflammation. Symptoms include sexual dysfunction, post-ejaculatory pain, pain with urination, penile/genital aching, and difficulty with prolonged sitting. The vast majority of these cases involve dysfunctional muscles in the pelvic floor and surrounding areas, which is why our men’s health physical therapy program is designed to identify and treat the root causes of chronic prostatitis.
Peyronie's Disease: How Our Physical Therapists Can Help
As a result of fascial restrictions or plaque formations, Peyronie’s Disease causes an excessive curvature of the penis usually related to sexual trauma, though some patients are genetically predisposed to the disorder. Treatment for Peyronie’s Disease can involve dynamic splinting techniques, as well as a specialized ultrasound protocol designed to remodel the tissues in the penis.
