Q:  What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Creating and establishing a partnership with local youth club sport programs to educate athletes on recovery techniques.

Q:  What type of professional growth have you experienced in the past few years?

In the past few years, I have finished the Gray Institute Fellowship Training (GIFT) program as well as bolstered my involvement with promoting and teaching dry needling techniques.

Q:  What is your favorite part of being a physical therapist?

Getting to meet new people all the time, and in a position that I can make an impact on their life.  I love that I get the time to not only help patients, but get to know them and tailor their treatment based on that as well.

Q:  What are your passions within the field of physical therapy?

I am passionate about dry needling as I believe that it is an extremely impactful tool to enhance the quality of life in my patients.  I have also been heavily involved with Blood Flow Restriction training, not only using it in the clinic but introducing young professionals to the technique through the local PT schools.

Q:  Where is your favorite place to visit?

Anywhere new!  I love seeing and experiencing new things.

Q:  What is your favorite pastime?

I am a huge sports fan and am religious about watching Kansas City Chiefs games (Sorry Ravens fans!). What pastime goes better with watching football other than barbecuing!   Putting some food on the smoker and enjoying a chiefs game is an ideal weekend day for me.

Q:  What was your most memorable job before working at Bethesda Physiocare?

During PT school, I volunteered my time as an Athletic Trainer with the San Antonio Regulators in the International Women’s Football League.  It was a unique experience of getting to work closely with a team while having to get creative due to lack of funding and resources. I had such a blast doing it I also sought out and volunteered with the Kansas City Storm of the Women’s Football League when I graduated PT school.
