Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am proud of having obtained my Doctorate in physical therapy despite the many institutional and environmental obstacles that I faced.
Q: What type of professional growth have you experienced in the past few years?
In the past few years I have become well versed in treating chronic and hypermobility cases as well as entering the world of dry needling to better help my patients.
Q: What is your favorite part of being a physical therapist?
My favorite part of being a physical therapist is meeting new people I would not have met otherwise in other professions, in addition to learning and connecting with them. I also enjoy finding out shared interests with people and learning about their lives.
Q: What are your passions within the field of physical therapy?
I genuinely enjoy educating people about the full scope of duties and practice of a physical therapist. Most people do not really understand the full extent of our abilities/capabilities bestowed on us in our profession. I love being able to impact people’s lives in a positive way, enough to where they share what they learned in physical therapy with others in their lives.
Q: Where is your favorite place to visit?
I really enjoyed visiting Iceland. The pristine and serene manner of their society and beautiful nature made me feel at peace. I also enjoy visiting Dubai and Doha, the cultural diversity and cuisine always have me missing my time there.
Q: What is your favorite pastime?
Playing sports. Specifically, soccer and tennis. I am an avid soccer lover and also grew up playing multiple sports that I enjoy playing in my free time. I also participate in go-karting races here and there and love watching Formula 1.
Q: What was your most memorable job before working at Bethesda Physiocare?
I worked overseas in Qatar for a time period. This job was memorable because I was able to utilize top notch resources and modalities to work with both professional athletes and locals with different and diverse backgrounds. From underwater pool treadmills to anti-gravity treadmills as well as meeting some of my favorite professional athletes, it will not be an experience easily forgotten.
